The Phoenix Club of Memphis has been serving the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis for more than 50 years. Since 1955, The Phoenix Club has been enrolling young men who could meet two basic requirements: a sincere interest in furthering the goals in the Club, and potential for future leadership in the community.

The Holiday Greeting Card Campaign has traditionally been the Phoenix Club’s largest fundraising campaign each year, raising money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis.

Fight Night

August 19th, 2017 | 7:00PM | University Club of Memphis

The Annual Phoenix Club Fight Night Event was started in 2016 and has already been a huge success. We bring together individuals from around the city to sacrifice their bodies for the betterment of Memphis and the empowerment of the children of the Boys and Girls Clubs. This evening of boxing is full of fun and entertainment. Come watch your friends and neighbors duke it out in a professional boxing ring with real referees, real ring girls, and real judges. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served all night as you sit ringside and enjoy a true Vegas-like experience.

The Harbortown 5K is now part of the M-Town Road Race Series! To register for the series, click on the link below.

3 on 3

The 3 on 3 event is a basketball tournament hosted each year by the members of the Phoenix Club. This event brings together students from the various Boys and Girls Clubs around Memphis to compete against one another (and against our own very under-performing teams) for that year’s bragging rights. The Phoenix club members serve as referees and hosts as we provide food and refreshments for players and spectators. Come check out some of these players and you’ll quickly understand how Memphis came to be such a basketball city and why we love our Grit & Grind.

Inspiring young People to realize their full potential as productive, caring citizens

Resting along the shores of Sardis Lake, Camp Phoenix offers 800 inner-city kids each summer the chance to learn new skills, make new friends, and gain new perspectives away from the pressures of their dangerous neighborhoods.

New Years Eve

The Phoenix Club’s New Year’s Eve Party is the absolute best way to ring that midnight bell. With all the amenities included in your ticket price, this is a far better way to enjoy the night than fighting the crowds of Beale Street. This quasi-formal evening of drinking, dancing, and feasting is a surefire way to get your year started off on the right foot.

Career Fair

November 16th 4:30-7:00

Juice Plus+ Training Center of the Boys and Girls Clubs

Speakers across all sectors of our economy

The Career Day program takes place at the Juice Plus Technical Training Center at the BGCM headquarters on Walker Ave. Volunteers from around the city, including a number of Phoenicians, offer their time to explain to the students of the Boys and Girls Clubs what they do professionally and ways for those students to pursue that career path as well. This program helps teens understand the connection between educational success and career success; explore career possibilities; develop career pathways; gain work experience; and prepare for college or trade school after high school graduation.

The Phoenix Club’s generosity reaches the very heart of the entire Memphis community, wherever there is a need.
— Bob Mednikow, Founding Member of the Phoenix Club
