Luau
The Luau which began in 2007 is the Phoenix Club’s annual end-of-summer party. Orginally a formal event called the “Wine and Cheese Party” held at Oak’s Edge, in 2007, the event was renamed “The Luau,” was moved to the Polo Court at Botanic Gardens and welcomed a “Return of Raiford.” The Wine and Cheese Party traditionally brought in approximately 200 attendees; however, in its first year as “the Luau” over 800 people attended. In 2008, the event was held indoors also at Botanic Gardens and brought in over 1,000 people. 2009 brings an all new venue, Minglewood Concert Hall.
